Summary

Music Block receives only the musical data ChatGPT composes for a request. There are no user accounts, and we never receive your ChatGPT identity or your conversation history.

What we receive

When ChatGPT calls the Music Block tool, our server receives the structured musical data the model composed (notes, frets, durations, labels). It converts that data to notation markup and returns it. We do not receive your ChatGPT account identity or your conversation history.

What we store

We retain the submitted musical data and the rendered output to operate the service and improve rendering quality. This data contains no personal information — only the musical notation itself. We also collect anonymous usage analytics (such as how many examples were rendered) via PostHog. Standard, short-lived server logs (such as request timestamps and status codes) may be produced by our hosting provider, Vercel, to operate the service.

Third parties

The service is hosted on Vercel, stored data lives in a Neon database, and anonymous usage analytics are processed by PostHog. Fonts and audio soundfont files are served from our own domain.
